Live attenuated vaccines are against:
Such vaccines undergo the process of attenuation – a weakening of the microorganism with a decrease in virulence while maintaining the original antigenicity.
Live attenuated vaccines are not administered to pregnant women (just in case) and if certain immunodeficiency conditions are present.
If an immunodeficiency is suspected, a mandatory consultation with an immunologist is required. In some of these diseases, live vaccines are contraindicated, but all additional non-living (inactivated) vaccines are indicated.
It is safe to administer live vaccines to all other people.
A special feature of live vaccines is that injectable live vaccines can affect each other. Therefore, two injectable live vaccines can be administered either with a difference of 1 month, or on the same day.
Other types of vaccines (non-living or non-injectable live ones) can be administered with any other (live or non-living) vaccine either on the same day or on any other day.
Vaccination is easy.
